My Black Aesthetic

My Black Aesthetic is inspired by the need for and my aim to deliver a better understanding of the importance of empowerment, unity, self-identity, and self-respect in the African-American community. With this blog, I hope to educate and motivate Black people as a means of stepping closer towards unrelenting power and permanent prominence.

About Me

My photo
Carlie Bates
While attempting to stay true to what's true to me and also keep my head above water, I've learned who I'm not and that's shown me a great deal about who I am. Simply put without suggesting simplicity, I am a woman with a dream and a plan to deliver... I didnt realize how much I wasn't fully embracing my identity as a Black woman until I was introduced to an all Black curriculum-- that was my life changing experience. Everything fell into perspective and I want to help other Black people come to the same profound realization. My main goal for this blog is to inspire Black people to learn more about their culture, encourage them to indulge themselves in its entirety, and appreciate its past, present, and future.
